Technical Information
Cement CEM II/B-M (P-LL) 42.5 R is a Portland composite cement that combines Portland clinker with natural pozzolana (P) and limestone (LL). Its composition reduces the carbon footprint of production while maintaining high technical performance. It is particularly suitable for ready-mix concrete (RMX) production, where ecological and economic benefits are combined with reliable performance.
Applications
- production of fresh ready-mix concrete (RMX) for a wide range of construction purposes
- residential, industrial, and infrastructure projects
- precast concrete elements requiring high early strength
- construction projects focused on sustainability and reduced carbon footprint
Benefits
- eco-friendly composition – lower CO₂ emissions thanks to reduced clinker content and partial replacement with pozzolana and limestone
- rapid early strength development (R) – ideal for RMX, enabling shorter stripping times and more efficient logistics
- good long-term strength and durability – stable performance even under demanding conditions
- lower heat of hydration – reduces the risk of cracking, suitable for massive structures
versatile use – applicable for most standard concrete structures
Economic Advantages
- cost efficiency – lower price level compared to pure Portland cements
- faster construction – class R ensures rapid early strength, enabling earlier demoulding of precast elements and faster project progress, resulting in higher productivity, shorter construction times, and reduced labor costs
- reduced repair costs – lower heat of hydration and stable concrete performance minimize cracking
- longer service life of structures – high durability and chemical resistance of concrete reduce maintenance costs
- competitive advantage – eco-friendly composition with reduced carbon footprint helps meet modern environmental requirements and increases project attractiveness
